Ski Academy Climate Strike

Basseterre, St. Kitts, September 27, 2019 (ZIZ News): In a display of solidarity with persons around the world the students of SKI Academy held a climate strike on Friday afternoon.

On Sept. 20 millions of people, mainly students, went out on streets in over 130 countries around the world to express their dissatisfaction with political inaction regarding climate change.

This was the first day in a week of a campaign of awareness about climate change where students purposefully missed school to address the issue. 

According to a statement after learning of these examples, students from SKI Academy held their own strike in solidarity with youth from all over the world.

The students, concerned by the lack of action to prevent climate change, took steps to share their commitment to climate protection and spread awareness about climate change.
