SKN Association of Persons With Disabilities Gearing Up to Host Workshop

The St. Kitts Nevis Association of persons with disabilities, is gearing up to host a 2-day international classification of functioning, disability and health and community-based rehabilitation workshop at the McKnight community centre on Tuesday, August 14.

Pro for the association, Vincent Fough said Mrs Catherine Sykes of England will facilitate the sessions.

He said Sykes is a world-renowned expert in cognitive behavioural Therapies and is expected to bring a wealth of knowledge to the Federation.

Fough explained how beneficial the workshop can be for Caretakers, teachers or anyone who interacts with persons with Disabilities on a regular basis.

He said the workshop will also focus on educating the public on how to better take care of persons with disabilities and will address the various ways to gather and secure information.

The workshop will be held under the theme, “Bridging the Gap”.
