SKN Bar Association Held Virtual Mock Trial

The St. Kitts and Nevis Bar Association held a Mock trial with 6th form students of the Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College on Monday November 2.

The Mock Trial was held at the Sir Lee Llewellyn Moore Judicial and Legal Complex and formed part of the association’s Law Week activities.

Senior Magistrate Renold Benjamin served as presiding judge.

Adele Arthurton and Jameia Clarke served on the Defence Team while Malakhi Ferguson and Krysta Phipps served on the Prosecution Team.

Activities continue on Thursday November 5 with a “Continuing Legal Education Symposium” which aims to improve professional development of the counsel. This event will focus on the topic, “Access to Justice and the Rule of Law”.

Law Week 2020 is being celebrated under the theme, “Justice in the New Normal, Crisis Meets Opportunity”.
