BASSETERRE — Cadet Huggins E of the St. Kitts Nevis Defence Force Cadet Corps served as Sergeant-at-Arms during the St. Kitts National Youth Parliament Association sitting held last Thursday.
In the role, rooted in the Westminster parliamentary tradition, Huggins was responsible for maintaining order in the chamber, assisting the presiding officer, ensuring the smooth conduct of proceedings, and upholding the dignity and decorum of the House.
He performed his duties with notable discipline and professionalism throughout the session, which centred on the resolution “A SKNYPA Resolution Advocating for Reparatory Justice: A Youth Call for Decisive Action.”
The St. Kitts Nevis Defence Force Cadet Corps commended Huggins for representing the organisation with pride and excellence. His participation highlighted the intelligence, confidence and leadership qualities of the Federation’s youth as they engaged in meaningful debate on an issue of historical and national importance.
