SKNDF private charged in supermarket robbery case

St. Kitts Nevis Defence Force Private Michael Saunders of Conaree Village has been charged for the offence of Robbery which took place at a supermarket in the Camps area on  Friday December 6, 2019.

He was formally charged on Tuesday December 17.

According to reports, at about 4:50 p.m., two masked men entered  Island Food Supermarket at Camps on the island main road and demanded money from one of the cashiers.

Security footage of the incident showed masked men holding had what appeared to be firearms. The men took a sum of cash from the cash register before fleeing the scene.

Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
