Basseterre, St. Kitts, May 31, 2020 (ZIZ News): The St. Kitts Nevis Labour Party continued its pre-election activities with an island-wide whistle stop on Sunday May 31 2020.

According to information from the police permission was granted for the whistle stop from 12 noon to 6 pm.

The procession began at the Frigate Bay lawn and travelled to the Central Bank roundabout, continuing on the Frigate Bay Road, turning onto Branch Street, then onto Wellington Road then east to Cayon along the Island Main Road ending at the Caribbean Cinemas parking lot at Buckley’s Estate.

The police urged that social distancing must be adhered to at all times, vehicles should not be overcrowded and face masks should be worn.

The police also warned that music should be at a level that would minimize the degree of annoyance to persons in the neighbourhood.

Sunday’s whistle stop followed on the heels of another SKNLP drive-through on Friday that travelled west to Sandy Point and ended at the Newtown Playing Field.
