DenzilDouglas+JosephParry-1(ZIZ News) — As the countdown to the next federal election continues in St. Kitts and Nevis, the nation’s Prime Minister and leader of the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour party is calling for Nevisians and Kittitians to “be as one.”

While the launch of the contract for progress was not officially announced until this week, The Rt. Hon. Dr. Denzil Douglas hinted at it several times during his budget rebuttal on Friday.

“I want to make the point very seriously that this government has demonstrated time and time again that we are one people. We are one nation. We believe that there is a contract between us, a god-given contract between us for the progress of the nation. One part of our nation cannot progress without the other. When times in one part are good, then of course, others must enjoy.”
