SKNLP/NRP convinced that their partnership best represents SKN Residents

CarlislePowellB(ZIZ News) — Members of the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party [SKNLP] and Nevis Reformation Party [NRP] continue to affirm that their recently revealed partnership presents a stable plan for the continued development of the Federation.

Recently, NRP’s Party Organiser Senator the Hon. Carlisle Powell listed some of the benefits to be derived from the “Contract for Progress”.

“To pursue our mutually agreed goals, we intend to bring into force acts, constitutional amendments, regulations and policies that will ensure the following, one, ministerial and senatorial appointments shall be allocated in the spirit of equity and fairness to guarantee the best representations of Kittitians and Nevisians. Equity and fairness. Not like when Sim Daniel was moved from Minister of Finance to Minister of nothing,” he said.

Powell continued by listing more benefits to be derived from the Contract for Progress.

“Appointments to government boards and corporations will be made on an equitable basis among citizens of our Federation. Constitutional reform dialogue shall be initiated, aiming at safeguarding political stability and the equitable distribution of power among political institutions,” Powell explained.
