Basseterre, St. Kitts, June 26, 2020 (ZIZ): SKNOC donates masks for Olympic day
The St. Kitts Nevis Olympic committee has donated two hundred masks to the ministry of health as part of the nation’s efforts to restrict the spread of COVID-19.
During his address to mark national Olympic day on Tuesday, president of the SKNOC Alphonso Bridgewater said it’s their way of recognizing the work of the health authorities to keep the nation safe.
Mr.Bridgewater noted that as part of the commemoration of Olympic day there will also be a special focus on anti-doping.
Due to COVID-19 customary activities such as the Olympic day run had to be canceled but other activities are being held to mark Olympic day including the production of a special documentary entitled “olympism in st. Kitts and Nevis”, and the first virtual ordinary general assembly.
