SKNOC Olympic Festival

The St. Kitts and Nevis Olympic committee will be hosting an event called “Olympic Festival” on Saturday, July 6 at the Pam Tyson netball stadium from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

This event is part of the international Olympic day activities where Olympic committees from all over the world encourage persons to get active and learn about Olympic values and discover new sports.

Executive member of the St. Kitts and Nevis Olympic committee, Lester Hanley shared with ZIZ news that this event allows all member federation to engage with the public and in some cases recruit for some sports or activities.

He also said this event will give persons who have an interest in sports the opportunity to get involved.

The public can enjoy sports such as lawn tennis, netball, hand ball football, tae kwon do and also video gaming.

Members of the national anti-doping organization, the Olympic academy and women in sports will also be in attendance to educate the public on various topics.
