SKTU supports CARIRI findings

ZIZ Newsroom, Basseterre, November 22, 2012 — The president of the St. Kitts Teachers’ Union, Ron Collins says the group recognizes the credibility of the CARIRI officials and their findings.

In an interview with ZIZ, Mr. Collins says they fully accept the initial report given and are awaiting the remainder of the analysis.

“We have every reason to accept, as we did the last report by Dr. Whittaker, and likewise we have no evidence that speaks against the credibility of this report. So we are waiting the final submission of the report so that the recommendations can be supported,” he said.

Mr. Collins says now the union will have to meet to discuss the way forward, as they are not happy with the level of communication between them and the Ministry Of Education.
