Speaker Announced for Prime Minister’s Lecture Series

(ZIZ News)– Son-of-the-soil, Hon. Justice Selwyn Walters will be the featured speaker at the Prime Minister’s Lecture Series which is scheduled for September 10th.

The annual event has garnered much support and will be held, this year, at the Basseterre High School.

Chairperson of the Independence 31 Committee, Her Excellency Astona Browne, shared with viewers of ZIZ television the importance of the lecture.

“We are inviting the general public to this event. We use this time of the year to provide the platform for our distinguished nationals from the Diaspora to share in our celebration of nationhood and to speak on the theme using their own perspectives and drawing from their wealth of experience as professionals in the Diaspora,” she said.

Ambassador Browne also explained how guest speakers are usually chosen.

“These have been drawn from various disciplines over the years and we have benefitted tremendously from their discourse on the theme,” she explained.

The Prime Minister’s Lecture Series is one of several activities for the 31st Independence Anniversary Celebration.
