Special Seating and Party Stand for CPL matches in St. Kitts

Basseterre, St. Kitts (SKNIS) — The Warner Park Cricket Stadium has ramps and elevators that allow access for wheelchair users but the Ministry of Sports has made special accommodations to ensure that differently-abled fans have preferred seating for next week’s debut of the Limacol Caribbean Premier League (CPL) T20 tournament in St. Kitts.

“We have a special stand for persons with disabilities,” explained Minister of Sports Honourable Glenn Phillip during a recent interview. “This is important because we are trying to cater these games to a wide cross section of persons across the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis.”

Tickets for the competition have been priced to ensure that locals who want to see the best in the world play, can do so without breaking the bank. Entrance fees for seated areas are $25.00 while the western mound is $20.00. Children will pay half price.

While the atmosphere is expected to be exciting, persons seeking a bit more festivity can do so in the Karma Party Stand which features a pool, foam pit, and live DJs Private Ryan out of Trinidad and Kevy Kev of St. Kitts/St. Thomas. Those tickets will cost $200.00 as free drinks and food are included.

The first CPL matches at Warner Park will be held on August 07 with a showdown between the Guyana Amazon Warriors and Antigua Hawksbills at 4 p.m. Four hours later the Red Steel and Barbados Tridents take the field at the upgraded facility which boasts a high definition jumbotron and outdoor sports lighting that exceeds standards of the International Cricket Council (ICC).

A full schedule of the 10 games to be played in St. Kitts including the All-Star “Beefy Bash” Charity Match is available at www.cplt20.kn.
