Spirituality and Ageing Lecture

(ZIZ News) — An ongoing lecture series on issues surrounding ageing continued Thursday night with the fourth instalment at the University of the West Indies Open Campus.

The series of lectures is organised by the University of the West Indies’ Open Campus and The Ripple Institute SKN.

Thursday night’s lecture focused on “Spirituality and Ageing”.

Founder of The Ripple Institute, Dr Izben Williams said spirituality in one’s life is a prescription for longevity and peace.

“Things change as we grow old. Some things change in an irrevocable way. Our friends die for one thing and our stamina, whatever it was, diminishes. Among the things that we should try to do as we age is to travel light. Travel light and put things behind us that ought not to matter and that poison our spirit.”

Pastor Ben Browne facilitated the lecture.

Future topics will include “Legal Issues Related to Ageing”, Finances, and Retirement.
