Sports Analyst Frankie Claxton Names His Windies X1 For First Test Versus South Africa

Well known Nevisian Sports Analyst, Frankie Claxton, who now resides in Anguilla, has come forward to name his West Indies eleven for the first test match versus South Africa, which will be played from June 10th to 14th.

Claxton’s X1 in batting order:  Kraigg Brathwaite, Shai Hope, Nkrumah Bonner, Jermaine Blackwood, Kyle Mayers, Roston Chase, Jason Holder, Joshua Da Silva, Rahkeem Cornwall, Kemar Roach, Jayden Searles

Kieran Powell, Alzarri Joseph and Jomel Warrican –standbys

He has no room for Shannon Gabriel, Daren Bravo and Jahmar Hamilton.

‘Gabriel has not shown that he is fully fit and Chase will solidify the middle and would assist with his off spinners,’ Claxton reasoned.

He further stated:

‘The balance is key. The batsmen will have to bat deep and build huge totals in order to give their bowlers a chance.’

He pointed out that South Africa will not be any roll over.
