St. Kitts and Nevis records one additional case of COVID-19 as of Saturday, July 4 2020.

The Minister of Health. Hon. Akilah Byron Nisbett made the announcement during an emergency NEOC briefing at NEMA headquarters on Saturday afternoon.

According to the report, the patient is a returning national who landed on June 19 2020 from Washington D.C USA. The patient has been in quarantine since arrival.

The patient will be subjected to compulsory isolation to limit the likelihood of transmission to others.

This brings the total number of confirmed cases to 16; 12 in St. Kitts and 4 in Nevis.

Persons are encouraged to continue wearing their face masks and are urged to adhere to the necessary social and physical distancing protocols and practice proper and hygiene which includes the washing of hands after touching high touch surfaces that may be contaminated.
