St. Kitts And Nevis To Be Added To List Of Countries And Territories With Approved Proof Of Vaccination By UK Government From October 11, 2021

Basseterre, St. Kitts, October 07, 2021 (SKNIS): St. Kitts and Nevis will be added to the list of countries and territories with approved proof of vaccination from 4:00 am on Monday 11th October 2021, by the UK Government. However, if you arrive in England before that date, you must follow the rules for people who are not fully vaccinated. If you arrive after October 11, you can use a vaccine certificate to prove your vaccination status.

At the NEOC COVID-19 Briefing on October 6, the Medical Chief of Staff at the JNF General Hospital and Acting Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Cameron Wilkinson indicated that St. Kitts and Nevis had supplied all the relevant data required by the British High Commission regarding the Federation’s successful vaccination roll-out.

“We spoke to the British High Commission in Barbados and they confirmed that the Federation has answered all the questions asked and has provided the U.K Government with all the data they requested regarding our vaccination programme for acceptance in the U.K. They assured us that the Federation is administering two vaccines that are the U.K approved and that the U.K scientist are currently reviewing our data that were requested and submitted along with the data from 190 countries and we are awaiting approval. We are confident that in the next listing we will be there because we successfully met all the standards they were looking for in a country’s vaccination programme,” said Dr. Wilkinson.

St. Kitts and Nevis administers the Oxford-AstraZeneca and Pfizer BioNTech vaccines.
