St. Kitts Diabetes Association to Resume Screening Exercises

The St Kitts Diabetes Association will continue with its next screening exercise at the Violet Petty Primary School in Lodge on Thursday September 27.

The screenings form part of a program to determine the magnitude of the diabetes problem amongst our young people.

Public relations officer for the St. Kitts Diabetes Association, Reginald O’loughlin explained why the screenings have now resumed following a long break.

Dr. O’loughlin also announced that the association would be hosting a fundraising breakfast later this weekend.

The P.R.O said an increase of activities will take place in November of this year in commemoration of works Diabetes Day.

This year, World Diabetes Day is being celebrated under the theme, “The Family and Diabetes”.
