St. Kitts Gets CPL Matches

(ZIZ)–All of the hard work and investment by the local government is paying off so far.

One of the main objectives behind investing in the multi-million dollar Warner Park Lighting Project was to attract more international cricket matches to St. Kitts.

HonAsimMartinHeadshotADeputy Prime Minister, Hon. Dr. Earl Asim Martin announced that St. Kitts’ Warner Park was selected to host a number of Caribbean Premier League matches this year.

In making the announcement, Dr. Martin said, “Over the last couple of days, Minister Phillip has been in discussion with the CPL to ensure that we have CPL matches here in August of this year. We will not be only having six matches, we will be having the two semi-finals and the finals right here at Warner Park.”

The Minister of Sports, Hon. Glenn Phillip has also held discussions with the West Indies Cricket Board in an effort to bring more regional and international matches to St Kitts as well.
