St. Kitts Lions Club to celebrate 40th anniversary with several activities

The St. Kitts Lions Club will be celebrating its 40th Anniversary with a week of activities next week.

While speaking with ZIZ, Vice President of the Basseterre Lions Club, Bernadette Dolphin gave some insight about the community based club’s history over the last 40 years.

Dolphin said that persons should join the club so that they too can give back to their communities. She then shared a few initiatives that have been undertaken by the club for the past four decades.

President of the St. Kitts Basseterre Lions Club, Charmaine Pemberton said as part of its 40th Anniversary celebrations the club will officially kick off next week’s activities with an Anniversary Church Service.

She said “We start out 40th Anniversary Church Service (Antioch Baptist Church) on Sunday December 8. 40 elderly will be taken out on a Scenic Railway Tour on Tuesday December 10. Eye Screening and Health Fair for General Public on Friday December 13 starting at 9 am.”

The activities will continue this month with the Distribution of 40 Care Packages on Tuesday December 17 and a 40th Anniversary Dinner & Dance at the St. Kitts Marriot Resort on Saturday December 28.

The 40th Anniversary celebrations are being celebrated under the theme, “Lions on the Move”.
