St. Kitts Marriott Names Jacques Hamou As General Manager — Seasoned hospitality industry leader joins Caribbean property’s management team

FRIGATE BAY, ST. KITTS – February 2012 – St. Kitts Marriott Resort & The Royal Beach Casino announces the appointment of Jacques Hamou as General Manager.

In this position, Hamou will oversee all aspects of the hotel operations including the maximization of guest satisfaction, financial performance and staff development.

Hamou’s extensive career in the hospitality industry spans over 30 years. He joins the St. Kitts Marriott from the Montreal Marriott Chateau Champlain where he served as General Manager for thirteen years.

Previously, Hamou was a director of operations at Fortis Hospitality Corporation in Sydney, Nova Scotia, overseeing day-to-day activities for the Delta Sydney, Holiday Inn Sydney and the Sydney Inn.

“Having called the Montreal Marriott Chateau Champlain home for 13 years, it was going to take an exceptional opportunity to draw me away,” said Hamou.

“As an island, St. Kitts has a very distinct personality and I’m eager to embrace that and translate it into the St. Kitts Marriott’s overall guest experience.”
