St. Kitts Met Office Monitoring Hurricane Isaac
The St. Kitts met services is closely monitoring Hurricane Isaac. The storm developed into the 5th hurricane of the 2018 Atlantic Season on Sunday 9th September.
In an interview with the PRO of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Vesta Southwell, senior meteorological officer, Elmo Burke said sea conditions have already started deteriorating as hurricane Isaac moves towards the region.
He said residents are encouraged to stay tuned to their local media houses during the peak of the hurricane season.
He says the St. Kitts Met Office will continue monitoring the weather system and the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis is not under any watch or warnings currently.
