St. Kitts-Nevis celebrates with the Republic of China (Taiwan)

DenzilDouglas-12(ZIZ News) — The Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis celebrated with the Republic of China (Taiwan) on Tuesday in the observance of its 103rd National Day.

Speaking at the event held at the St. Kitts Eco Park in Newton Ground, Prime Minister the Right Honourable Dr. Denzil Douglas spoke of the valued relationship between the Republic of China (Taiwan) and St. Kitts-Nevis.

He said, “Throughout the 103 years of Taiwan’s existence, your people have been paragons of determination, discipline and competence and the government and people of St. Kitts and Nevis value most highly the friendship and mutual support that our countries share and which has gone from strength to strength with each passing year.”

MiguelTsao-2The Prime Minister also commended Ambassador Miguel Tsao for the work he has done in the federation.

“To his Excellency, our distinguished Ambassador Miguel Tsao whose unfailing effectiveness and constructive spirit have proven to be such extraordinary assets to his nation and which has served to steadily strengthen the bonds that exist between his nation and ours.”

The Communications Unit in the Office of the Prime Minister (CUOPM) is also recognizing the Republic of China (Taiwan) by publishing information on the political, social, economic and social development of Taiwan.
