St. Kitts Nevis Defense Force marking fifteenth anniversary of regular corp

ZIZ News…July 9, 2012 — The St Kitts Nevis Defence Force will hold an open day on 18 July 2012 starting from 10am until 4pm at Regimental Headquarters, Camp Springfield, Basseterre and at the Coast Guard base at Deep Water Harbour, Bird Rock.

The open day is to mark the 15th anniversary of the establishment of the regular corps.

There is an open invitation to the public to visit the Infantry Unit at Camp Springfield and Marine Unit at Coast Guard Base within the specified period.

Defence Force on patrol

Guided tours will be in place at both bases and a number of display stations will be set up with information, military apparatus and career opportunities in the force.

According to the Captain Kayode Sutton, the St.Kitts Nevis Defence Force is looking forward to welcoming the communities they serve and to protect their bases as they celebrate this important mile stone in the existence of the St. Kitts Nevis Defence Force.
