St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party Congratulates Grenada’s Prime Minister-Elect

Basseterre, St. Kitts & Nevis, June 24, 2022 (SKNLP) — Political Leader of the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party (SKNLP), Dr.  Terrance Drew, has extended words of congratulations to Mr. Dickon Mitchell, Political Leader of the National  Democratic Congress (NDC) who became Grenada’s Prime Minister-Elect following his Party’s success in  General Elections held on Thursday. 

In a letter addressed to the Prime Minister-Elect, Dr. Drew offered the following words: 

“On behalf of the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party and on behalf of the people of the twin-island nation of St. Kitts and Nevis, I want to extend sincerest congratulations on you and your Party’s success in  Thursday’s General Elections in Grenada.” 

Immediately following the conclusion of the Election reports coming out of Grenada, Dr. Drew told St. Kitts  media: 

“The people voted for a new generation of leadership. They did not buy into the arguments of youth and inexperience but gave the young man a chance. He is obviously very bright, youthful, courageous, and competent. His professional profile speaks volumes of his capabilities not just as a lawyer and businessman, but as a leader. I wish him great success in his commitment to serve the people of  Grenada, Carriacou, and Petite Martinique and look forward to working together in the advancement of  the regional agenda.”  

Dr. Drew went on to disclose that, “Mr. Mitchell is indeed a success story and ought to be an inspiration to young people throughout the region. He is a budding example of how hard work, dedication, and sacrifice can reap tremendous rewards. This is a great achievement that is deserving of an unbridled celebration. The St. Kitts Nevis Labour Party is confident that under the leadership of the Mr. Mitchell, a progressive and profitable  pathway will be paved for the people of Grenada, Carriacou, and Petite Martinique.”
