St. Kitts Sustainable Destination Council Donate Reusable Bags to TDC Home And Building Depot

Basseterre, St. Kitts, April 21, 2023 (ZIZ Newsroom)–The St. Kitts Sustainable Destination Council donated 50 reusable bags to the TDC Home and Building Depot in a short handing-over ceremony at the Ministry of Tourism’s Head Office on Tuesday.

The bags were handed over by Chairperson of the St. Kitts Sustainable Destination Council, Diannille Taylor-Williams who stated that she is pleased to be partnering with TDC for their Go Green Month.

She said, “In our sustainability journey, we firmly believe that partnership is at the foundation of any sustainable destination, and therefore it’s a pleasure for us to be partnering with you in this way as you celebrate your Go Green month, we want not only Go Green month, but we like Go Green all the time as a destination. As we continue on this journey, cause sustainability is not a destination, and so we want to continue to partner with you into the future for the benefit of our people, the current generation and future generation.”

The bags were presented to Marketing Assistant at TDC, Dominic Matthew.

He thanked the Sustainable Destination Council noting that the donation is timely.

“So on behalf of the TDC Group of Companies and the TDC Home and Building Depot, we say thank you. As you know, we are celebrating our Go Green Month and coincidentally, it’s also Earth Week, so this donation comes in a very convenient time for us, and it gives us an opportunity not only  to partner with you but to continue spreading the message of sustainability, reducing our dependence on single-use plastic, and of course, destination will help our customers and the wider public  recognize the importance of the green lifestyle, which we’re  encouraging throughout the month of April.”

The bags will be distributed across the TDC Home and Building Depot stores in St. Kitts and Nevis on Earth Day (No Plastic Bag) which is celebrated on April 22 each year.
