St. Kitts teams up with British Airways in Great Gatwick Ticket Giveaway

London, UK (29th January, 2013) – St. Kitts has teamed up with British Airways as part of the airline’s biggest ever ticket giveaway from London’s Gatwick Airport, offering a total of 48 pairs of tickets to be won to the destination, as well as a range of special holiday offers.

This fantastic ‘giveaway’ to be held at London’s busy Victoria Station, is part of a seven-day British Airways Promotion, starting 28 January, which showcases one destination per day. From 8.00am to 8.00pm during St. Kitts promotional day on Wednesday 30 January, hundreds of commuters travelling through the station will have a chance of winning a pair of tickets by testing their flight skills at an arcade-style flying game, specially built on the station’s main concourse.

Commuters simply ‘check-in’ at the stand, receive a flight card allowing them to take the controls of a British Airways Boeing 777 aircraft and then compete against each other for the most accurate flight in to St. Kitts. Every 15 minutes, the top scorer will win a pair of British Airways tickets to the destination.

The promotion will also be on the British Airways Facebook page and on Twitter feed from 8am allowing Facebook fans the opportunity to win a holiday to the same daily destination while would be ‘pilots’ will be able to share the ‘experience’ with their friends by posting a message once they have checked in.

The St. Kitts British Airways Promotion will be seen by hundreds of commuters who transit through the station every day with further recognition via the main screen at the platform boards. St. Kitts will also be highlighted in Tuesday evening’s London Standard (29 January) and Wednesday’s Metro London Newspaper (30 January) reaching more than 690,000 Londoners and visitors. Commuters will also be given special destination postcards highlighting promotional offers to all hotels in St. Kitts & Nevis which are featured by British Airways Holidays.
