St. Kitts U-19 Team in Training

(ZIZ News) – President of the St. Kitts and Nevis Amateur Basketball Association (SKNABA), Romel Tobias said the Under-19 National Team is continuing preparations for a regional tournament.

He said, “They are training for the Youth Under-19 Leeward Islands Championships to be held in Montserrat from the 13-17 of December.”

Tobias said the St. Kitts players will engage their counterparts from Nevis in an exhibition-styled match this weekend, as part of their training.

“This weekend also if you come out to Basketball City at 6:30pm you will see Nevis squaring off against St. Kitts in a friendly competition because we are not in the same zone going over to Montserrat so we try to create that practice atmosphere between each other to see what we really need to work on apart from what we’ve been doing so far,” President Tobias added.

Players from the Under-19 National Team will be hosting a cake sale in Basseterre on Saturday to help raise funds for the trip to Montserrat.
