Persons receive wages from the public sector, the Government Auxiliary Employees, (GAE), and the Step workers, will be paid on the morning of Wednesday April 8 and Thursday April 9 based on your zone.
In his address to the nation on Tuesday night, Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis, Dr. Hon Timothy said this is a decision mandated by Cabinet.
He said, “In other words, those who live on the East side can collect their payments on Wednesday. Those who live on the West side will have that same opportunity to collect their payments on Thursday.”
Prime Minister Harris used the opportunity to note that these changes are as a result of our rapidly changing way of during the Coronavirus pandemic.
His announcement was made shortly after updating the twin island federation about the extended State of Emergency under the Emergency Powers Regulations which he says will be kept under constant review.
