Basseterre, St. Kitts, January 6, 2019 (ZIZ News): Thousands of students returned to school on Monday morning marking the start of the second term in the 2019-2020 Academic School Year.
Officials from the Ministry of Education, headed by Minister of Education, Hon. Shawn K Richards visited both public primary and high schools across the island to deliver a presentation on the academic year’s theme, “Be the Best You, That You Can Be”.
While at the Verchild’s High School, Assistant Secretary in the Ministry of Education, Patricia Isles Caesar welcomed the students to a new school term and deliver the key address on behalf of the Minister Richards who was at the time visiting students at the Charles E Mills Secondary School.
As the school term progresses, schools will be diving into preparations for Black History Month activities and Sport Competitions.
