SVG Evacuation Continues; Prime Minister Gonzalves Moved To Tears
Basseterre, St. Kitts, April 9th 2021, 2021 (ZIZ News) As evacuation measures continue in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines due to the eruption of La Soufriere atfter 7am on Friday morning, and Vincentians are being welcomed to other caribbean islands, Prime Minister Ralph Gonzalves is moved to tears.
The emotional prime minister in a press conference at about 10:30, expressed his gratitude to the many persons who have opened their homes to evacuees.
As cruise lines continue to offer assistance, Gonzalves says measures are and will be put in place for vaccinated and unvaccinated persons.
