Taiwan praised for Hospital Aid

MiguelTsao-3(ZIZ News) — The Government of St. Kitts and Nevis has praised the Republic of China on Taiwan for its assistance in the upgrade of the Information System at the Joseph N. France General Hospital.

Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. Dr. Denzil Douglas said Taiwan’s Resident Ambassador, His Excellency Miguel Tsao, has been a valuable partner in the implementation of the Information System.

“The Ambassador has repeatedly impressed upon the Government and people of this country the readiness of his government to do all in its power to work with the Government and the people of St. Kitts and Nevis as we pursue our social and development goals in the same way that St. Kitts and Nevis unfailingly stands with and works beside Taiwan as it pursues its longstanding and most valid aspirations on the world stage,” he said.

The Prime Minister made the comment during the recent launch of Phase Two of the Information Systems Upgrade.

Taiwan has been providing technical assistance and consultation throughout the upgrade process.

Officials say the entire project will take about another year to complete.
