Tax payment deadlines extended until April 30, says comptroller of SKN Inland Revenue Department

Basseterre, St. Kitts, April 14, 2020 (ZIZ News): Comptroller of the St. Kitts and Nevis Inland Revenue Department, Edward Gift has announced that deadlines for all taxes and licenses due at the beginning of March and April have been extended until the end of this month.

His announcement was made during the National Emergency Operations Center (NEOC) COVID-19 Daily Briefing on Tuesday April 14 2020.

“The Inland Revenue Department wishes to advise the public that pursuant to the provisions of the Tax Administration and Procedures Act, all taxes and licenses due and payable during the months of March and April 2020, with the exception of Corporate Income Tax have been extended to April 30, 2020 without interests and penalties,” he said.

He explained that Corporate Income Tax which was due on April 15, has now been extended to July 15, 2020.

The Comptroller encouraged all to take visit the St. Kitts and Nevis Inland Revenue Department Facebook page for more information and urged persons to take advantage of the website www.sknird.com.

He said considering that many persons and businesses have been impacted by the Coronavirus pandemic in the Federation, the extension and waiver of interests and penalties is automatic.

Therefore,“customers do not need to file any additional form or contact the Inland Revenue Department to qualify.”
