Basseterre, St. Kitts, August 30, 2019 (ZIZ News): The St. Kitts Tourism Authority hosted a five day Summer Training workshop for all taxi and tour bus operators from Monday August 26 to Friday August 30.

More than 60 taxi operators were present during each morning and afternoon session to discuss the standard of service provided to guests who visit St. Kitts and Nevis.

The first session of training was dubbed a “Customer Service Session” at the Solid Waste Management Corporation and was followed by a “Tourism, Tourists and Taxis” session at the Ocean Terrace Inn.

ZIZ spoke with session facilitator, Mr. Noah Mills who highlighted the importance of hosting the training session and explained that the operators were given the opportunity to share advice with each other.

Mr. Mills said that the taxi operators provided great feedback and showed heightened interest specifically in those areas that help to enhance the tourism industry.

The summer training wrapped up with a practical tour in the St. Peter’s area to De Poincy’s Chateau immediately after the session.
