TDC celebrates Ruby Anniversary with Thanksgiving Service and Fellowship Activity

ZIZ News…Feb. 5, 2013 — In commemoration of its 40th Anniversary celebrations, the TDC Group of Companies marked the milestone with a Thanksgiving Service at the Wesley Methodist Church on Seaton Street in Basseterre, on Sunday 3rd February 2013.

Over two hundred and ninety (290) members of the company (from across St. Kitts and Nevis including Mr. D. Michael Morton, Group Chairman, Mr. Jacques Cramer, Founding Member, Executive and Non Executive Directors, Management and Staff) gathered to worship as one family.

Company staff actively participated in the service by reading the one of the lessons and the entire rendered in song its own version of the popular Grace Thrillers Gospel, “Thank You Lord for Forty (40) Years”.

Mr. Morton, in his address to the congregation brought greetings to the Wesley family and used the opportunity to congratulate the Church, on its golden anniversary of the Maurice Hillier Epworth Junior Memorial School. He presented a Corporate Gift, in kind, to assist with the ongoing work of the Church and its related ministries.

Immediately following the stirring and empowering service, the staff gathered at the Fisherman’s Wharf for the Staff Appreciation Brunch.

Chairman Morton passionately thanked the staffs (past and present) who gathered to partake of the sumptuous meal, for their hard work, dedication, and their overall contribution over the last four (4) decades, in spite of the many challenges faced.

This was followed by toasts using anniversary themed champagne glasses and three (3) cheers to the continued success of the Group.

One of the highlights of the event was the recognition and presentation of Longstanding Awards to the only five (5) present employees, who have been with the firm since 1st February 1973.

The other highlight was the Staff Appreciation Raffle, which saw five (5) lucky persons take home prizes including a LG 40 inch Flat Screen LED television.

The activity came to close with the signing of the 40th Anniversary Scroll by all who were in attendance, to celebrate the ruby anniversary under the theme, “Celebrating Our Legacy, Investing in Our Future.”
