TDC donates new appliance to the Basseterre Fire and Rescue Services Unit

Basseterre, St. Kitts — The officers of the St. Kitts Fire and Rescue Services Basseterre branch have received the support of one of the leading business houses in the Federation.

On Tuesday 13th May 2014, Mrs. Jonelle Rawlins-Drew, the TDC Client Relations and Marketing Manager handed over a brand new CONSOL 30” Gas Cooker (valued at over three thousand dollars) to Mr. Felix Frederick, the Station Sargeant.

In making the presentation, Mrs. Drew commended the officers for their outstanding work and noted that the gesture further represented the partnership that exists between the Company and the members of the Community.

“TDC is very pleased to present this new CONSOL stove today.  We understand the important role you play in our community and applaud your efforts for the work that you to do.  This donation forms part of our ongoing relationship with you our partners in social development. We know you will put it to good use,” stated the Marketing Executive.

In response, Fire Officer Al Richards thanked TDC for its contribution and for the Company’s support in ensuring that the officers have access to additional equipment that will enable them to better perform their duties.

“On behalf of the Fire Chief and the officers, we thank you for the donation of this new stove. Our unit is very grateful.  It will serve us well and will go a long way in helping us as we carry out our duties,” said Richards.

The presentation took place at the base in Ponds Pasture and was also attended by other officers and staff of the Unit.
