Basseterre, St. Kitts, March 15, 2022 — The TDC Home and Building Depot is celebrating farmers in the month of March for their contribution to agriculture, in St. Kitts and Nevis.
In an interview with ZIZ News, Marketing Assistant in the TDC Client Relations Marketing Department, Dominic Matthew said that over the four (4) week period, the retail stores are offering savings on tools and garden supplies.
He added that this forms part of the company’s corporate responsibility in recognizing the significance of the nation’s farmers.
Matthew also said that this year, several farmers will be recognized for their efforts with the ‘Farmer of the Year’ Award, which is an in-store shoppers’ incentive.
He said farmers will be selected using the company’s farmers database which is updated yearly.
In addition to the activities commemorating farmers’ month, Matthew said field representatives from the Lawn and Garden Centers have been visiting and interacting with farmers offering practical advice and solutions on how to improve production while ensuring food safety and security.
