TDC’s Michael L. King Program Awards Four of the Federations Youth

(ZIZ News) – TDC has given a helping hand to four deserving students in the federation.

On Tuesday, at an awards presentation ceremony, the 8th Annual Michael L. King Scholarship Grant was awarded to Andre Tyrell and Akheam Fox of St. Kitts and Charles Bussue and Joyce Moven of Nevis.

Among the key speakers was Education Officer, Debbie Isaac, who expressed the ministry’s gratitude to TDC.

She said, “The government and education can’t do it alone, and that is why we are grateful to institutions and organizations like TDC Group of Companies for being so open and so lavish in your assistance to students who really need this help. We want to assure that we do not take your contribution lightly.”

Chairman of TDC, Earle Kelly congratulated the awardees and encouraged them to feel proud of being selected from a competitive pool of twenty-nine applicants from across the federation.

“I’m aware that twenty-nine applications, 19 from St. Kitts and 10 from Nevis were received by the committee for these four awards. And to be selected from among what I understand was an extremely competitive field speaks volume. It means that you fellows are really bright,” Kelly stated.

The Michael L. King Advanced Education Program is a partial scholarship provided by TDC to financially aid successful applicants wishing to pursue advanced educational programs.
