Teenager found hanging

(ZIZ) The police is investigating the death of a fifteen year old high school student who was found dead in her home early this morning.

A police Press Release states, “On 22nd October 2013 about 6:45 am, officers of Criminal Investigation Department, Crime Scene Unit and Special Victim Unit responded to a report of death by hanging at a residence in Shadwell Housing.”

It went on to say that initial investigation reveals that about 6:45 am, a 15 year old girl was found lifeless in the bathroom of the residence by her father.

The District Medical Officer Dr. Reginad O’loughin visited the scene and pronounced the said juvenile dead and an autopsy will be performed at a later date.

The 15-year-old has since been identified as Azaria Hanley.

In light of this development, the Ministry of Social Development released a statement calling on individuals to exercise good judgment.

The statement read, “While our need to understand the genesis of and circumstances surrounding this unfortunate situation may contribute to broad based discussions and questioning in society, it is absolutely necessary that we keep in mind the hurting and devastated families, peers, school communities and social communities that have to manage this sad reality.”
