The annual Eddy Richards Football coaching clinic ended last Friday

Sports Page—Tuesday 30th July 2013–The annual Eddy Richards Football coaching clinic concluded on Friday 26th at the St. Thomas’ Primary School.

After a brief prayer by one of the coaches, Eddy Richards himself addressed the gathering. He told the children that he hoped that they would have learnt all of the skills that the coaches taught them during the two weeks of the program.

He implored them to go home and practise those skills and to get involved in other programs.

He had a special word of thanks for the parents who continue to send their children to the camp, year after year. He thanked the coaches, the cooks and other persons who assisted with the program in any way. He also thanked Rohan Isles for his significant contributions each year.

He however had a special word of thanks for the sponsors of the program and asked the children to encourage their parents to patronize the various establishments. These included: Nevis Bakery; Bank of Nova Scotia; St. Kitts-Nevis Development Bank; Nevis Credit Union; Social Security; Nevisians in South Florida; Hon. Mark Brantley; Nevis Multi Line; Bank of Nevis and Nevis Spring Water.

He also made a presentation of a Football to five outstanding students from the program as adjudged by the Coaches.

He also appealed to the general public to contact him at his personal number, 663—0570 if they are interested in making a contribution towards a proposed luncheon on Friday 2nd August at SEA FOOD MADNESS. He noted that this was his way of saying thanks to the coaches for their voluntary service.

The children later engaged in an intense Football match before they were officially dismissed.
