The Antiguans are here

CricketFilePhotoASports Page — Arch Rivals Nevis and Antigua and Barbuda will go hammer and tongs (no pun intended) at each other this weekend, as both teams face off at the ET Willet Park in two matches.

From Thursday 9th to Saturday 11th October, they will be engaged in a Leeward Islands three day match and then on Sunday 12th October, both teams will face off in a one day match. Both matches will be played at the ET Willet Park.

Both teams are fresh from victories in both formats from their first round encounters, incidentally, both against Montserrat.

The Nevisian public is expected to see some really exciting cricket with the Antigua team boasting of several former West Indies players in Gavin Tong; Devon BOOBY Thomas and Sylvester Joseph.

Add to that an exciting bunch of younger players who are bent on making a name for themselves.

Nevis on the other hand, will be led by the experience of Tonito Willet and his brother Akito, Jason Campbell, Adelvin Phillip, Justin Athanaze and Junie Williams but persons will be even more closely scrutinizing the progress of the young guards in Ross Powell, Theron Bussue, Kezron Archibald and Philo Wallace.

Overseas fans would be happy to note that live coverage of the games will be brought via Choice community radio 105.3 fm.

Persons can log on to sknclt.com and click listen live to access the commentary on the game.
