The Cable Is Doubling The Delight For Valentine’s Day

Basseterre, St. Kitts,  February 7, 2022 — Over the last three years, The Cable has delivered hundreds of gift packages through the Make a Wish for the Elderly project – a community-oriented project which surprises senior citizens with gifts requested by well-wishers and delivered just before Valentine’s Day.   This year the company has decided to spread the love to everyone through its Valentine’s Day Getaway draw where three enticing prizes are up for grabs.  To enter the draw, the entrant is simply required to make a nominal contribution which would go towards the Make a Wish Project.

“We have had tremendous positive feedback from the public about this project, many of whom have inquired about how they could contribute to expanding its reach and impact.  It is from this feedback that the idea evolved to give everyone an opportunity to contribute to the project while also having an option to win something in return,” explained The Cable’s Chief Executive Officer, Patricia Walters.  “In effect, anyone who donates is not only contributing to the Make a Wish for the Elderly project but has a chance to win one of the three fantastic prizes,” she summarized.

The supporting marketing material for the draw explains that customers of The Cable who use their platinum card to participate will receive double entries into the draw.  The Valentine’s Day Getaway draw is open to everyone including nationals in the diaspora who participate annually in the nomination process of the Make a Wish for the elderly project.  The three prizes at stake are a weekend stay at a luxury resort in St Kitts, a romantic three-course dinner in Nevis (including transportation to and from Nevis), and a His and Hers fragrance gift set.

“These are really high-value prizes which will delight the winners and so we encourage everyone to take a chance and see what their luck would bring.  In the end, everyone is a winner as the funds would go to a great community cause,” CEO Pat Walters concluded.

The Make a Wish Project is done in partnership with the Rotary Club of Liamuiga whose members assist with the physical deliveries during the week leading up to Valentine’s Day.  However, considering the current covid situation and wanting to protect the senior citizens, it has been decided to defer the event until a later date.  The draw for the Valentine’s Day Getaway prizes will take place on February 10th to allow for the winners to enjoy their prizes on Valentine’s Day.

Interested persons may complete the transaction to enter the prize draw in the store on Cayon Street or online at www.thecable.net.
