The Galleria at the The Eva Wilkin Mill one year anniversary celebration on Saturday
Basseterre, St. Kitts– The Galleria at The Eva Wilkin Mill’s first anniversary celebration will take place on Saturday February 15th, 2014 at 4.30 to 7 p.m.
The Eva Wilkin Mill is located at clay Ghaut, Gingerland off Main Road towards Best Buy, opposite the Seventh Adventist Church.
Christi Douglas, an international art collector, says, the Galleria that features unique furnishings and décor compliments Eva Wilkin’s legacy. Christi Douglas explained that the galleria is within the vicinity of Eva Wilkin’s art gallery that she is refurbishing.
At the Galleria, special gift items and the furniture are exhibited. Christi Douglas sees the availability of the items and furnishings as a service to those who would otherwise import items from various parts of the world.
Christi says this type of service has been quite successful in Anguilla. “We have been able to do things successfully in Anguilla and there was a point we had three outlets in Anguilla. Anguilla is almost the same size as Nevis. We were able to offer a one-stop-shopping for décor items,” Christi Douglas noted.
Those who are able to make it to the anniversary celebration will be reminded of Eva Wilkin’s legacy. Christi Douglas says she is in the process of renovating the Eva Wilkin’s art gallery. “You want to walk into a gallery where you can fill her presence,” Christi Douglas said.
