SKELEC Offices

ZIZ News…May 24 2012 — SKELEC has embarked on a program to assist consumers who are in arrears with balances prior to 1 August 2011. Here’s how the plan works:

All consumers are eligible for the terms No Deposit (Zero down) with a repayment period of thirty-six (36) months. Consumers whose arrangements become in arrears for 3 months or more will be subject to a 1% finance charge on arrears in the case of residential accounts and 2% for commercial customers.

According to a release issued recently, it is important that consumers remain current from August 2011 to present. Failure to pay current bills will result in disconnection of supply. The release continued, all persons who fail to make an arrangement for outstanding bills prior to August 2011 will remain on the SKELEC disconnection list and will be subsequently disconnected.

Reconnection rates apply as follows: residential $100.00; commercial $250.00.

All consumers with such arrears are invited to call on 465 2000 or visit the Consumer Services Department to make an arrangement to pay arrears or obtain further information on the SKELEC facebook page www.facebook.com/skelecltd.
