This week marks 4th the anniversary launch of Heart of St. Kitts Foundation

Basseterre, St. Kitts, February 24, 2020 (ZIZ News): Today has been dubbed “Plastic Free Day” as this week marks the 4th Anniversary of the Launch of the Heart of St. Kitts Foundation.

As part of Plastic Free Day everyone is being encouraged to take on the challenge and say no to plastics.

The Heart of St. Kitts Foundation is a programme that builds awareness around sustainability priorities in St. Kitts and provides funding for local projects that make the island a better and more sustainable place to visit and live.

The Foundation provides funding to projects that support Marine and Coastal Conservation, Historical Site Preservation, Improving Waste Management and New Community-Driven Tourism Product Development.

The program was founded on February 23, 2016.
