Tourism PS: Education and Tourism Should be Paired
(ZIZ News) — New Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism, Carlene Henry-Morton says having been in education for 33 years, she believes in marrying education and tourism.
Henry-Morton says more can be done to groom the federation’s youth, from as early as preschool, to understand and appreciate the important role that tourism plays in the economy.
She told ZIZ News that sensitizing youth to various opportunities will help to groom their assessment of what tourism is really about.
The Tourism Permanent Secretary said in this way, the youth will not grow up thinking that tourism is only about people coming to our shores, but they can earn an honest living by thinking in very creative ways of the part they can play and how they can benefit from the industry.
