Training Community Response Teams

ZIZ News [August 13, 2013] — As we move towards the peak of hurricane season the national emergency management agency will be training community members to be more self-reliant during and after a disaster.

The agency is planning a one week community emergency response Team Training Court organized with The Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency.

District coordinator Telca Wallace explains why this training is necessary.

The programme will cover topics including fire safety, light search and rescue, and disaster medical operations.

It runs from Monday August 19 until Friday the 23rd at the sandy point community centre.
