Trinidad Minister Condemns Attacks On National Security Officers

The Minister of National Security, Edmund Dillon, has strongly condemned the recent increase in homicides in Trinidad and Tobago, especially the spate of attacks on the lives of National Security officers.

Dillon expressed concern that officers who dedicate their lives to protect and serve the citizens of Trinidad and Tobago, are apparently being targeted by criminal elements.

Corporal Shervaun Charleau of the Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force and Superintendent David Millette of the Trinidad and Tobago Prison Service were fatally attacked over the past three days.

Dillon gave his assurance that law enforcement officials are treating these instances of violence against serving officers seriously, and are working assiduously to resolve these cases and bring swift justice to the perpetrators.
