Tropical Storm Erika Brings Rain and Wind to St. Kitts and Nevis
(ZIZ News) – It was a rainy afternoon for residents of St. Kitts and Nevis as they felt the effects of Tropical Storm Erika.
Unlike other countries across the region, St. Kitts-Nevis did not experience heavy flooding.
The ghaut at Westbourne Street, an area known for heavy flooding was surprisingly just a simple walk over. That was largely the scene in most of Basseterre.
While the country side did not suffer much damage, a utility pole in Parsons Village was knocked down and caused power outage for nearby residents.
Up to press time, St. Kitts and Nevis remained under tropical storm warning.
