Two young men charged for possession of Cannabis

ZIZ News…Dec. 10, 2010 – The Police in their efforts to stamp out crime, violence and the use of illicit drugs have brought charges against two young men for Cannabis possession.

According to a Police release, on Wednesday 8th December 2010 at approximately 11:40 pm police at the Basseterre Police Station formally arrested and charged two (2) men from Sandy Point without a warrant for Possession of Cannabis. The release further stated that the offence was committed on Wednesday December 8 at the Frigate Bay Beach Strip, a popular entertainment area, particularly on a Friday night.

The accused persons are 25 year old Vincent Warner Jr. of The Alley, Sandy Point and 26 year old Sean Buchanan of Farms Housing Development, Sandy Point.

On Thursday December 9 both Warner and Buchanan were bailed in the like sum of EC $10,000.00 to secure their appearance at the date of their trial.

Investigations are ongoing.
